Priscilla Presley's Statement On Losing Daughter Lisa Marie - 'Profound Loss'

Last night, Lisa Marie Presley passed away after suffering from a cardiac arrest in her Calabasas, California home.

Daughter of Priscilla and the late Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie was found unresponsive in her home on January 12th. Danny Keough, her ex-husband, was there at the time and administered CPR until paramedics arrived, TMZ reports.

Lisa Marie Was Then Rushed To the Hospital.

First responders administered at least one dose of epinephrine and were able to regain her pulse before taking her to the hospital.

Unfortunately, She Would Pass Hours Later.

Lisa Marie was just 54 years old at the time of death. She is survived by her mother, Priscilla, as well as her three daughters, actress Riley Keough, and twins Finley and Harper.

Lisa Marie's son, Benjamin, passed away in 2020 due to suicide.

Priscilla Released A Statement Following Her Daughter's Death.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," Priscilla stated.

The Statement Continued, Asking For Privacy From The Public.

"She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known," she continued. "We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment."

Lisa Marie Was The Sole Child Of Elvis And Priscilla Presley.

Born in 1968, Lisa Marie was the first and only daughter Elvis and Priscilla would have.

She Became Co-Heir To Her Father's Estate After His Death.

Elvis passed away in 1977 after complications from heart disease, leaving his estate to his family. Lisa Marie began her own music career as she got older, and had a string of high-profile marriages.

Both Lisa Marie And Priscilla Presley Were Present At The Golden Globe Awards Earlier This Week.

The mother and daughter were present due to the nominations received by the 2022 biopic, Elvis.

They Watched As Austin Butler Won An Award For His Portrayal Of The King Of Rock N' Roll.

Butler would go on to thank both Priscilla and Lisa Marie, as well as the rest of the family in his acceptance speech "for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me."

Lisa Marie Also Continuously Praised The Film And Butler's Portrayal Of Her Father.

Earlier this month, at a party honoring both the film and Elvis's birthday, she said, "I'm so overwhelmed by this film and the effect that it's had and what Baz has done, Austin's done. I'm so proud, and I know that my father would also be very proud. ... I'm overwhelmed with gratitude, so thank you."
