Belinda Ventimiglia, the wife of the Sopranos actor, posted information about their loss over the weekend on Facebook, along with plans for Odele's funeral in Brooklyn on Thursday.
"Heartbroken to have to post our darling Odele's funeral notice," she wrote. "Her sister Lucinda and I have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and love we have received, and your remembrances of how cherished Odele was to so many."
She added, "Odele was greatly loved, and leaves a huge hole in our lives."
Words will never be sufficient to explain the sadness we are all feeling adequately, Lucinda Ventimiglia wrote on Instagram with a carousel of photographs honoring her sister Odele.
“Words will never be enough to express the grief we are all feeling. I loved my little sister a lot and I will spend the rest of my life searching for her in everything."
Lucinda went on to say that she and her family are incredibly appreciative of the attention and assistance they have received throughout this difficult period.
“it has never been more clear how much she meant to so many people.”
Although, presently the cause of Odele's passing has not been disclosed.
Belinda sent a link to the family's GoFundMe page for Shiloh, Odele's daughter, requesting contributions in place of flowers for Shiloh's future educational expenses.
Steven Van Zandt, a co-star in The Sopranos with Ventimiglia, and his wife Maureen were also present to express their support. They made a $500 donation and added, "Deepest Love and Condolences, Maureen and Stevie Van Zandt."
However, Odele kept her social media profiles private, so nothing was known about her personal life. However, according to Harri, she had been working as a waitress and waiter at Vekslers in Brooklyn since 2016, when she passed away.
Her Facebook page indicates that she previously attended the Institute for Collaborative Education in New York, which focuses on career-oriented programs and offers students on-the-job training with a nearby firm.
Odele's father's most notable performance, although having roles in several films throughout the 1990s, was as Artie Bucco on The Sopranos.
The Vesuvio Restaurant was owned by John's character, a childhood pal of mobster Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini).
Most of John's television work is devoted to crime dramas, especially those set in New York.
His other notable performances included that of Detective Eddy Costa on Disney's Jessica Jones and Organized Crime Control Bureau Chief Dino Arbogast on CBS's Blue Bloods.
John did leave a comment under Lucinda's post, albeit he hasn't yet posted a tribute to social media.
Odele leaves behind her mother, Belinda, father, John, sister, Lucinda, and daughter Shiloh. The Old First Reformed Church in Brooklyn, New York, held funeral services on Thursday.
