Alyssa and Nick left the world stunned in May 2021 when they announced they were expecting their first child together. The following month, the pair celebrated the arrival of their son Zen — Alyssa's second child and Nick's seventh.

Sadly, Zen was diagnosed with brain cancer a few months after his birth. Sadly, the infant died five months after his birth. Over a year later, Halo gave her parents something to smile about again after she arrived on December 14, 2022.
