The 33-year-old actress was seen getting off a private jet at Van Nuys Airport on Monday afternoon, carrying her baby daughter in her arms.
Keough arrived with her daughter and husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, on a flight from Memphis, where a memorial service was held the previous day for her late mother. She stepped off the plane wearing a camel-colored coat and a pair of shades. It was the first time her baby was seen in public.
Before Lisa’s memorial service, it wasn’t widely known that Riley gave birth to a daughter last year. The news was only revealed when Smith-Petersen read the eulogy that she wrote for her mother.
Apparently, Riley was supposed to speak during the memorial service, but she was so overcome with emotion that she had to ask her husband to read the eulogy for her.
In her eulogy titled “A Letter to My Mama,” it was revealed that she was a mother and Lisa was a grandmother. It read in part, “Thank you for showing me love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters.”
Riley’s emotional eulogy continued, “Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity. I’m a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart.”
The previous day, she was also spotted arriving at Graceland with the then-unknown baby. Neither she nor her husband had spoken publicly about their daughter before the memorial service, and they also kept Riley’s pregnancy a secret.
Not much is known about the baby. She was born in 2022 but the parents have not revealed the exact date or her name.
Riley and Smith-Petersen, an Australian stuntman, met on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road. They got engaged in 2014 and married the following year.
Their baby is Lisa’s first grandchild and Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s first great-grandchild as well.
