Jeremy Renner is living proof that even superheroes can bleed. On New Year's Day, while attempting to rescue a family member's buried car from the snow — Jeremy was run over by a snowplow and nearly killed.
Were it not for the quick thinking of a nearby neighbor and the work of highly-skilled emergency crews, Jeremy would have surely perished. His latest update details that he's broken over 30 bones, but that he's feeling optimistic and on the mend.
On January 1st, 2023, the Mayor of Kingstown star was nearly crushed to death after a freak accident involving Renner's own snowplow.
Renner was attempting to dig out a car for an extended family member. When he got out of the plow, the SnowCat began to shift.
Luckily for Renner, a fast-acting neighbor quickly called 9-1-1 and emergency crews to the scene. "He is in rough shape," the neighbor told the dispatcher.
When all was said and done, Jeremy wound up breaking over 30 bones in his body. The road ahead will be painful, but Renner says he's up for the challenge.
"Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love. I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I."
"These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens. Love and blessings to you all," he concluded.
Despite the less-than-deal setting, Jeremy's friends and family did their best to show The Avenger's star how much he is appreciated.
"If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn't mess around," she said. "He is crushing all of the progress goals. We couldn't feel more positive about the road ahead."
Jeremy made sure to tweet about how excited he is to be able to watch the second season of Mayor of Kingstown from the comfort of his own home.
