According to Mail Online, Fergie has found a strong ally in Queen Consort Camilla. An insider said, “Camilla likes Sarah. They're both gentry. They share a love of horses and Fergie will be smart enough to play the game with Camilla and realise she is the power behind the King. That she must be nice to them and support them.”

Not only did she get an invite to Christmas lunch but she was also present at the Boxing Day shoot the following morning. The latter event used to be hosted by Prince Philip, and Fergie was never invited before because of Philip’s dislike of her.

Fergie was shunned by the royal family following her split with Andrew thanks to a string of scandals, such as the toe-sucking incident caught by paparazzi (she was photographed while an ex-lover kissed her foot).

But now, the royal family seems to be willing to move on from the controversies. The insider said, “There's a feeling that, no matter what Sarah's personal faults – and she can be like Marmite in that respect – she has been a good mother to the girls and loyal to Andrew.”

She's Reinvented Herself As A Writer

Fergie has reinvented herself as a historical romance writer and is currently promoting her second Mills & Boon book titled A Most Intriguing Lady.
