At about 9:15 on January 5, 2023, the police responded to a call that someone was trying to scale the fence and gain access to Billie's parents' house in Highland Park. The intruder was said to be clad in an all-black ensemble, lurking around in the backyard.

Then, the house's sitter, who wasn't present at the time of the incident, received an alert showing the man, which led her to call the police. Upon arrival at the location, the intruder, identified as 39-year-old Christopher Anderson, was apprehended and taken into custody.

Billie Filed A Restraining Order

Next, Billie filed a restraining order against Christopher. In the court documents, she noted she had viewed images of the man and could confirm she did not know who he was and had no prior relationship or communication with him.

More Visits From Christopher

The Happy More Than Ever singer also disclosed that Christopher's January 5 action wasn't the first time he caused her family distress. According to Billie, her father, Patrick O'Connell, had informed her of how Christoper had visited their home many times since late December 2022.

Christopher Would Profess His Love

With each visit, Christopher would profess his love for the Grammy award-winning singer with hopes of seeing her face-to-face. However, each of his attempts was unsuccessful and ended up causing worry to Patrick and his family.

How Did The Incident Affect Billie

According to Billie, each of Christopher's visits, including the most recent, caused her substantial anxiety, fear, and emotional distress over her safety and that of her father, mother, and brother.

Inside Billie's Fears

She further explained that she worried that Christopher and other people like him would someday do something violent or extremely disturbing to her and her family. So, requesting a restraining order was the best route to take.

Who Will The Restraining Order Protect?

The restraining order requests protection for Patrick, his wife, Billie's mother, Maggie May, and the singer's brother and producer Finneas O'Connell. The request was submitted to the Los Angeles Supreme Court on January 17, 2022.

Another Intrusive Fan

This isn't the first time Billie has encountered an intrusive fan. In 2020, a judge granted a three-year restraining order against Prenell Rousseau, 24, from Farmingville, New York, after he repeatedly appeared at her Los Angeles home.

Hopefully, this time around, Christopher will be completely stopped from causing more worries for Billie and her family.
