The complete trailer for The Mandalorian's third season has now debuted ahead of the show's return in less than two months after the teaser was unveiled during Disney's D23 event last September. The new season's trailer, which will premiere on March 1 and features the bounty hunter's reunion with his little companion, demonstrates the companion's ever-increasing ability.

Exploring The Themes Of The Series

The new footage elaborates on the themes that the teaser alluded to. It shows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his small green charge Grogu getting ready to travel to Mandalore, where our hero intends to atone for his "transgressions," specifically for showing his face to people in defiance of how his group of Mandalorians is expected to act.

Din Djardin And Bo-Katan Kryze

However, we also know that Bo-Katan Kryze, played by Katee Sackhoff, has her motivations for harboring animosity toward him.

Even so, despite the contractually required sweetness between Mando and Grogu (whose goal this time is to teach the youngster how to navigate the galaxy), it is clear that the threat posed by lingering imperial forces still exists. Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon is still present despite having been defeated.

Major Revelations

Star Wars fans will enjoy all the major revelations and surprises in the new Mandalorian season 3 trailer. The footage concludes with a demonstration of Grogu's developing abilities as he uses Force to push an adversary a few steps back. Grogg's most recent and impressive use of the Force stands out more because it occurred after he had some instructions from Luke Skywalker.

Bigger Performances To Come In Season 3

Even though Grogu did not get Luke's instruction for a long period, his powers nonetheless increased in several noticeable ways. This tease from The Mandalorian season 3 might indicate bigger performances to come.

Order 66

The flashback sequence to Order 66 in the third season of The Mandalorian teaser is one scene that is certain to draw a lot of attention. In the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, several Jedi are getting ready for battle. They can see the blazing of a lightsaber attempting to cut through the doors in front of them.

Will Grogu Be Spared?

This might hint that the prequel-era flashback in season 3 of The Mandalorian will feature Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen). Of course, this scene in the third season teaser of The Mandalorian might also be a set-up for Anakin and a hint that the show will reveal if Mace Windu or someone else spared Grogu from Order 66.

The third season of The Mandalorian's trailer also features glimpses of a post-Return of the Jedi Coruscant and a prospective journey to Batuu (the planet where Galaxy's Edge is located).

Characters Present In Season 3

Babu Frik from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker might also be present. Unexpectedly, the trailer barely shows any of Bo-Katan and does not show any of Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito).

Keeping Fans In Suspense

It appears Jon Favreau is keeping most of The Mandalorian season 3 under wraps, which might make for an intriguing and unexpected season.
