Britney Spears is one of the most well-known singers in the world, and this is a result of her distinctive voice, which has not only revolutionized music but also elevated her to the title of the pop princess.

The singer is currently in the news because of her family issues, even though her incredible voice still lingers in her fans.

The relationship between Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears hasn't always been easy. The two have been in a bitter public dispute for the last few years, exchanging insults in a slew of since-deleted posts.

From November 2021 to the end of her problematic legal contract, Britney openly criticized her entire family in front of a judge for allegedly refusing to assist her when she was in need.

Jamie Lynn denied any misconduct in 2018 and again in January 2021. She asserted things that were in direct opposition to Britney's court testimony.

“I’ve always been my sister’s biggest supporter, so when she needed help, I set up ways to do so.”

To promote her then-upcoming memoir, Things I Should Have Said, Jamie Lynn appeared on Good Morning America. Britney eventually called out Jamie Lynn for allegedly trying to promote a book at her "cost," to which Jamie Lynn responded that the book was "not about her."

“I hate to burst my sister’s bubble, but my book is not about her. I can’t help that I was born a Spears too,” Jamie said.

She continued, “I’ve worked hard since before I was even a teenager, and I’ve built my career in spite of just being someone’s little sister.”

However, Jamie Lynn is now thinking back on her relationship with Britney and revealing that she feels like she lives in Britney's shadow.

The 31-year-old actress, presently acting in Fox's Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, sobbed during the debut episode as she confessed that she doesn't "truly have anything" for herself.

“Growing up, my sister became famous — worldwide famous — when I was very young, I’m so proud of her, love her to death, but I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really have anything for myself, It just feels like every time I work really hard to get something on my own, it’s not really worth it.”

Has Her Own Identity

Jamie Lynn continued by admitting that she battles low self-esteem "all the time" and wants to "stand out" from Britney. Although she's incredibly proud of her sister, she also has her own identity and expects to be treated as her person.

The current state of affairs between Jamie Lynn and Britney is unclear, despite the Toxic singer trying to diffuse all tension with a bizarrely positive Instagram post last month.

“It’s my b-day, but you’re my heart, so I’m thinking about you,” Britney wrote in a since-deleted caption.

Instagram users who were dubious about the unusual remark and seemed unconvinced that Britney was posting immediately questioned it. The caption was subsequently changed, but the post is still visible on Britney's page.

It "blows [her] mind," Britney said in a fresh, critical Instagram post on Friday in response to Jamie Lynn's remarks that Jamie Lynn had to deal with "hardships" as her little sister.

Reminiscing About How She Was Treated

Britney brought up her family's alleged treatment of her during her conservatorship once more, claiming she was prohibited from going to the spa with her pals.

"I’m sorry you feel that way, but don’t ever poke at my broken foot in a kitchen telling me to go to the doctor because my foot infection might infect your royal children !!!"

"You want me to share it on Telly ???," Britney wrote. "I’d rather spit in their faces and trash them on Instagram cause that’s all my family has ever been to me !!!!"
