The Golden Globes homage by Austin Butler to Lisa Marie Presley and Elvis Presley's ex-wife Priscilla has gone viral.

The 31-year-old actor won Best Actor, Motion Picture Drama at the Golden Globes Awards on Monday night for his lead performance in the Elvis biopic.

The award nominee, who spent time with Lisa Marie and Priscilla, the wife and daughter of Elvis Presley, to take on the persona of the King of Rock 'n' Roll, was quick to thank them in his acceptance speech.

Appreciating The Presley Family

Just a few days before she passed away, Lisa Marie herself was with him on the red carpet at the occasion.

He paid tribute to Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley during his award speech:

"I want to thank the Presley family.

However, a clip of his statement at the awards has thus gone viral since the passing of Lisa Marie at 54.

Butler's Acceptance Speech

Following his acceptance of the prize, Butler said he wished to "thank the Presley family" for helping him produce the film, adding:

"Thank you, guys. Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, and your home to me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever."

Speaking to Access Hollywood on the red carpet just before Butler won his prize, Lisa Marie lauded the actor for portraying her father and called him  "such a sweetheart—an authentic, true sweetheart, and just as good off-screen as he is on screen," she added.

On Thursday, Priscilla released a statement in which she relayed the tragic news of her daughter's passing.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” the statement read. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

Brief History About Lisa

Nine months after Elvis and Priscilla's wedding, Lisa Marie was born on February 1, 1968. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother after her parent's divorce when she was four years old. The following year, in 1977, Elvis passed away.

Lisa Had Four Marriages

Lisa Marie had four marriages, the first two to pop icon Michael Jackson and musician Danny Keough. She later got hitched to musicians Michael Lockwood and actor Nicolas Cage.

She Is Survived By Three Children

Her three children survived her, including the actor Riley Keough and her mother. The year 2020 saw the death of her son Benjamin Keough.
