The brief but memorable encounter happened seven years ago when she matched with Kohberger on the dating app. At the time, Hayley was a psychology student at Penn State Hazelton and Kohberger was also taking up psychology at another school.

According to Hayley, she didn't know much about the guy and she just wanted to clear things up as some people were making false narratives.

They talked for a while and Kohberger asked her to go out to the movies and she agreed.

After the movie date, they went back to her dorm and that's when things started to get strange.

"I thought he was just going to drop me off, but that was not the case. He kind of invited himself inside,” she said in her TikTok.

Kohberger wanted to watch another movie on Netflix and that's when Hayley noticed that the mood of their date changed.

“He was very pushy when it came to coming back in my dorm with me. But I didn’t get like scary vibes or anything from that. I just thought he was a stage five clinger because he said he wanted to spend more time with me,” she explained to The Post.

"He Kept Trying To Touch Me"

Kohberger kept making physical advances and this made her uncomfortable. “He kept trying to touch me. Not, like, inappropriately, just trying to tickle me, and like rub my shoulders and stuff," she said.

He Tried To Gaslight Her

Whenever she would ask why he was being so touchy, Kohberger would deny it and get serious. Hayley felt he was gaslighting her and the date was becoming stranger by the minute.

She wanted to get him to leave but didn't know how so she pretended to throw up while she was inside the bathroom.

“It wasn’t because I was scared of him or thought he would hurt me if I asked him to leave. It was just mostly because I’m socially awkward. I didn’t know how to ask him to leave,” she said in the video.

He Finally Left

Hayley was still pretending to throw up in the bathroom when Kohberger finally left. He sent her a message on Tinder that he was heading out.

Not The Creepiest Date

“Bryan was not even the creepiest or scariest Tinder date I’ve been on. I hope that if any young women see my story and think they’re invincible, they learn that taking precautions when going on dates with people you meet online is so important,” Hayley said, warning girls to be more careful.

Charged With Four Murders

Kohberger was charged with four counts of murder and one count of felony burglary, in relation to the killings of the University of Idaho students. Authorities were able to link his DNA, cellphone data, and his car to the crime scene. He is set to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on January 12.
