Harry Hamlin Breaks His Silence on Lisa Rinna’s ‘RHOBH’ Departure

People recently caught up with the Hollywood actor as he attended the premiere of the comedy movie 80 For Brady at the Palm Springs International Film festival. Hamlin discussed his wife, Lisa Rinna's decision to discontinue her stint on Bravo's long-running show, RHOBH. He described it as the "correct decision" while stating, "[It was the] correct decision, the right decision to make at this point after eight years. I think she took it as far as she could take it, and she elevated the show."

The Clash Of Titans actor told the news franchise that he felt it was time for the Days of Our Lives alum to move on. Hamlin relayed that eight years was a long time for anyone to stay consistent with anything. This, he said, in reference to his long his wife appeared on the show.

Harry went further making it known that he and Rinna have many projects lined up for the future. He said that they were both busy. He noted how he was busy with the 80s For Brady and his upcoming series, Mayfair Witches. He added that Rinna on her own was in talks with studios about getting something else. He shared, "So I think we're going to be really busy over the next few months."

Weeks ago, he told the publication about his wife's personality on RHOBH, and how it contributed to her it. The 62-year-old relayed that Rinna, 59, often got in hot water because she never shied away from speaking out. He shared that his wife did her job of being on the show, interacting with other housewives, and giving her honest take. He added, "Her hot button issue, I suppose, is injustice or when somebody else is not behaving honestly, she'll call it out. And that gets into a lot of trouble. But it also helps the show."

The star who shares two daughters, Amelia and Delilah with Rinna, shared that he had known his spouse for three decades, and she had never uttered an "untruth." He stated that however Rinna was branded a liar on the show, but he did not pay much attention to that because he knew who his wife was.

Hamlin took on a philosophical tone when he shared that he knew there was no way his wife could appease everyone. He noted that there would always be "50 percent of the people who like you, 50 percent of the people who hate you." However, he estimated that there was an 80 percent chance that people liked Rinna as opposed to a 20 percent chance that they didn't.

After eight seasons of being a glamorous star on the Bravo franchise, Rinna's contract on RHOBH ended, and so did the chance of a renewal. Speaking with People, the mom-of-two shared that being on RHOBH was the longest job in her career that spanned over three decades. Rinna expressed her gratitude to her Bravo crew. She explained that it had been a fun eight-year run and she was excited for what is to come.

Lisa Rinna joined RHOBH in 2014, stamping her place as an OG housewife. It was reported that the decision to end her stint was mutual between her and Bravo. Over the years, Rinna's time on the show has been enshrouded in controversies and issues with her fellow stars.

During Rinna's final stint on the reality show, she lashed out at fellow star Sutton Stracke several times after the latter claimed she felt underappreciated by Rinna and her husband. According to her, she had purchased the couple's tickets to attend Elton John's annual charity benefit but they did not thank her.

Her fellow housewives were also displeased with how she capitalized on Kathy Hilton's meltdown in Aspen. Rinna faced more criticism when fans booed her at Bravocon, but above all, she appeared to be unbothered.
