After walking a free man in court in an overturned sexual assault conviction, the 83-year-old comedian, Bill Cosby, is set to return to the stage and spilled details about his comedy tour planned for 2023 on the Now With Scott Spears talk radio show.

"Yes, because there’s so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do. Years ago, maybe 10 years ago, I found it was better to say it after I write it," said the comedian as he confirmed every news about his return to the host.

Cosby's publicist, Andrew Wyatt, also confirmed the news and told Entertainment Weekly about the tour slated around the spring or summer of 2023.

"We're looking at getting back out here around Spring/Summer of 2023."

He appears to be picking up the pieces following his initial conviction in 2018, which declared him guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his Pennsylvania home in 2004.

Cosby was charged with three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault.

Count one alleged that he was not given consent when he penetrated Constand's genitals with his fingers, while count two stated that Constand was unconscious at the time and could not give consent, and count three alleged that everything happened after he drugged her, making her helpless to refuse him. The comedian denied all these allegations against him during that trial.

The verdict was, however, overturned in June 2021 by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in June 2021 and also saw him walk out from the Philadelphia State Correctional Institution in Phoenix, according to a tweet from the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

The court discovered an agreement Cosby had with a previous prosecutor, which prevented him from getting charged in the case. The comedian had banked on that agreement before appearing to testify in his accuser's civil lawsuit.

The court also ruled that his case could not be prosecuted again as he was discharged and acquitted.

"He must be discharged, and any future prosecution on these particular charges must be barred."

Prior to this new development, Cosby had served two out of his three-10 year prison sentence and was denied parole in May.

His last comedy tour was in 2015, where he performed at different sold-out venues across North America. But these shows were also countered with strong protests from women and concerned individuals over his sexual assault allegations.

Cosby eventually canceled most of these shows after about 12 women stepped forward to accuse him of illicit behavior spanning between the 1960s to 2008, which also led to his arrest in December 2015.
