The passing of Stephen 'tWitch' Boss has caused mass sadness, but now also some theories. The Ellen Show face and DJ tragically took his own life on December 13, shooting himself in a motel located only a 15-minute walk from his home.

Columbus Short Shares Theory

On December 15, Stomp the Yard star Columbus Short took to Twitter, sharing a "theory" that he feels could have led to 40-year-old tWitch's death - shortly before the suicide, the DJ had a phone call with his grandfather, and there was no sign of distress, per his grandpa's reveal.

Life Savings

In a now-deleted video, Columbus inferred that Boss may have "invested in something that took his whole life savings."

He continued, “People made investments, people do a lot of things — this is just a theory. What if you invested something that took your whole life savings, possibly? … It gets rough.”

Introducing his clip with a “RIP tWitch,” Columbus also shared, “You guys don’t know what people are going through … People are awful … tWitch was amazing, is amazing still — his legacy shall live on.”

Shot Himself From A Motel

Boss checked into a motel under one mile from his home, where he died from a self-inflicted gun wound to the head. On Tuesday, a maid at the property found him dead - he'd checked into the Oak Tree Inn in Encino, CA.

Ellen DeGeneres Pays Tribute

Celebrities were quick to flood the digital space with tributes to Boss, who left a suicide note as he shot himself. The Ellen Show host Ellen DeGeneres shared a finale video featuring Boss.

“Over a decade ago, I met someone who changed my life, and our show,” she said, where Boss was visibly moved to tears. “You always make me smile and laugh and we put a little something together just to say how much we all love you here."

Missed By Celebs

Tributes were also left by actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Magic Mike star Channing Tatum, singer Jennifer Lopez, and former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Leaving Behind Wife Allison Holker

Stephen left behind wife Allison Holker and three children. The couple was even looking to possibly expand their family to a fourth child prior to Boss' death.

Her 'One And Only'

In a touching share after Boss' death, Allison posted to IG, writing, "My ONE and ONLY Oh how my heart aches. We miss you so much."

A Hard Time

Fans are likely standing by Allison as much as they can as they mourn Boss' death themselves.
