Former First Lady Michelle Obama made some shocking revelations recently about her marriage with Barack Obama that has got us asking many questions considering how inseparable those two are; we are finding it hard to believe the Becoming writer once couldn't stand her husband.

The former first lady, 58, talked about the difficulties of having two young girls while the couple advanced their professions in a roundtable interview with Revolt TV earlier this month. She also talked about the toll it took on her three-decade marriage to Barack Obama.
The former first lady candidly bared it all on the roundtable, which had Kelly Rowland, H.E.R., Winnie Harlow, and Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles-Lawson, she said, "People think I'm being catty by saying this — it's like, there were 10 years where I couldn't stand my husband," she said. "And guess when it happened? When those kids were little."
The mom of two continued, "And for 10 years while we're trying to build our careers and, you know, worrying about school and who's doing what and what, I was like, 'Ugh, this isn't even,' She said. "And guess what? Marriage isn't 50/50, ever, ever."
"There are times I'm 70, he's 30. There are times he's 60, 40, but guess what? 10 years — we've been married 30. I would take 10 bad years over 30 — it's just how you look at it. And people give up . . . 'Five years; I can't take it.' "
The former first lady continued by saying that she still respected and admired her husband despite their relationship's ups and downs. She emphasized how crucial it is to understand "your person."

Obama is promoting The Light We Carry, her most recent book. She was completely open about her marriage's challenges, her hair, and how she had to put her legal career on hold while Barack started his presidential campaign while juggling the demands of raising their two kids, Malia and Sasha.
The Obamas, who started dating in 1989 and got married in 1992, have since moved over that difficult time and celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They have two daughters, Malia, 24, and Sasha, 21, who both resided in the White House while their father was president.
Michelle reported in November that the sisters currently live together in Los Angeles, where Sasha is a University of Southern California student, and Malia has been working in television.
After 30 years, the Obamas are still in love. The 44th president, 61, posted a romantic carousel of memories on Instagram in October, including a picture of himself resting his head on Michelle's shoulder while they were at the beach, a picture of their names written in a heart in the sand, and a picture of their wedding in black and white.
