However, their peaceful existence was brutally disrupted when Lovell was viciously stabbed to death during a break-in at their home on Boxing Day.

Queensland authorities have since apprehended and charged two 17-year-old suspects with murder, attempted murder, and breaking and entering. According to a statement issued by police, two 17-year-old males, one from Holland Park and the other from Zillmere, have been charged with murder, attempted murder, and unlawful entry with intent in the company of others.

The alleged crime occurred on the front porch of the victim's home, where a struggle ensued and 41-year-old Emma Lovell was fatally stabbed. Lovell's husband, 43-year-old Lee, also sustained a non-life-threatening wound to his back during the altercation but has since been released from the hospital.
