Julia Roberts is extending all the love in the world to her Oceans costar and close friend, George Clooney. The 54-year-old actress has revealed that the Clooney family "saved" her during some of the darker times in her life - in a recent interview with The New York Times, the Oscar winner said that being away from her family during filming of Ticket to Paradise with George, the A-Lister actor was there for her. Julia said that shooting meant it was the "longest" she and her family had been apart. In fact, she said that she hadn't spent so much time alone since her mid-twenties.

Shooting for the movie took the cast and crew Down Under. In Australia, the setup involved George and wife Amal Clooney in quarantine in one house and Julia, alone, in another.

“We started in Hamilton Island, with all these wild birds, and Julia had the house down just below Amal and me and the kids,” George told New York Times. “I would come out in the early mornings and be like, ‘Caa-caa,’ and Julia would come out and be like, ‘Caa-caa.’ And then we’d bring her down a cup of coffee. She was Aunt Juju to my kids.”

Continuing as she revealed that George was there for more than just the odd errand or coffee outing, Roberts continued, “The Clooneys saved me from complete loneliness and despair,” adding, "We were in a bubble, and it’s the longest I’ve ever been away from my family. I don’t think I’ve spent that much time by myself since I was 25.”

Kids Visited Her

The Stepmom star did refer to her family, mentioning husband Danny Moder, plus the kids they share. Together, the couple is parents to twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, aged 17, plus son Henry, who is 15. George said that during family visits, Julia's husband and kids had to jet into Sydney and quarantine for two weeks before she was even able to see them.

Meanwhile, Clooney's setup involved wife Amal, plus their 5-year-old twins Ella and Alexander. George is known for early roles including medical drama ER and Ocean's Eleven, which premiered back in 2001.

Looking Stunning At 54

Julia, meanwhile, continues to turn heads for her ageless good looks as she hits her mid-fifties. She joins fellow age-defying celebrities including MCU star Salma Hayek and British model and actress Elizabeth Hurley.
