Ever since becoming a mother, Julia Roberts decided to step away from the spotlight and put her career on hold to become a stay-at-home mother. The Erin Brockovich star met her husband Daniel Moder on the sets of The Mexican in 2000. Shortly after the pair started dating and tied the knot in June 2002. Roberts and Moder have three children together, a pair of twins born in November 2004 and a son born in June 2007. Roberts often takes to Instagram to share with her 10.5 million followers snaps of her as well as her children.

Roberts recently stated in an interview that her day starts with making breakfast for her whole clan which includes three children and a husband. Once she is done feeding everyone and dropping her children off at school, she cleans up before it is time to make lunch again. After that is done, it is time for a school run once again followed by quality time with her children helping them out with any homework or school projects they might need help with before making the final meal of the day.

A Different Kind of Fulfillment
In an interview from a few years back, Roberts shared her thoughts on the new role that she had adopted for herself. She said, “I don’t have the luxury of sitting around anymore. I must have had bags of spare time before I had children but I don’t know what I did with it and I didn’t appreciate it. But it’s such a terrific trade-off."

She continued, "I don’t have time to get a pedicure, but I sure am happy. Who cares if your feet look bad? My life at home gives me absolute joy. There are some days when as soon as you’ve finished cooking breakfast and cleaning up the kitchen it’s time to start lunch, and by the time you’ve done that you’re doing dinner and thinking, ‘There has to be a menu we can order from.’"
Philanthropic Activities
Apart from being a doting mother, Roberts is heavily involved in philanthropic activities. The 55-year-old uses her social media platform to spread awareness about various social causes. Roberts also worked as an ambassador for UNICEF during a six-day visit to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Additionally, she has also worked with the likes of Gucci among other brands on various fundraising and awareness-spreading campaigns.
