Michelle Yeoh, 60, rose to prominence in the early Nineties after starring consecutively in action movies and doing her stunts. The Malaysian actress broke into Hollywood and Western movies as a Bond Girl.

After a series of on/off reappearances in major movies like the voice role for Kung Fu Panda and Memoirs of a Geisha, Yeoh resurfaced in the late 2010s.

She acted as a snobby rich matriarch in the rom-com Crazy Rich Asians and a doting mother in the Christmas movie Last Christmas before becoming an alien fighter in Everything, Everywhere All At Once.

With such an impressive resume, it's no shock that Yeoh's net worth makes her one of the richest Asian entertainers worldwide.

The former Miss Malaysia is worth almost $40 million, and it's expected to increase with her upcoming movie lineup! Earlier this last quarter, Yeoh starred in another fantasy Netflix series, The School For Good and Evil, alongside other veteran actors.

She would star in the third and fourth installments of James Cameron's Avatar, a sequel to Crazy Rich Asians, and Netflix's The Witcher: Blood Origins.

Yeoh reportedly received $70,000/episode for the Netflix miniseries, which had six episodes. It premieres this Christmas and is set a thousand years before the plot of The Witcher, making it a prequel.

When speaking about her involvement in The Witcher's prequel, the actress expressed gratitude saying she's always been a fan of the original series. The fantasy and science fictional world is up her alley as it reminds her of the early Hong Kong movies that shot her into the limelight.

Yeoh became passionate about joining the prequel because it explores the origin of the all-powerful Witcher. She believes it'll explain to fans why the character is necessary,

"...and for me, that’s always fascinating, mysterious, and interesting. So well, how do you say no to that?"

'TIME's Icon Of The Year

The actress celebrated the Holidays with a cute picture on her Instagram, spreading love to over one million followers. She has every reason to smile as the big checks keep coming in. Also, her work this year didn't go unnoticed as TIME Magazine named the 60-year-old "Icon of the Year."

She's also set to star alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in Wicked: The Musical.
