Season 1 of HBO's House Of The Dragon ended with a bang and promises of a suspense-filled second season that has got fans and viewers worldwide in an endless discourse of things that might happen as 2024 eagerly approaches. However, the actors are also gearing up for a strenuous second season by training their bodies intensely according to Tom Glynn-Carney.

Keep reading for the details.

From The Stables Of Glynn-Carney

Glynn-Carney, who plays Aegon Targaryen and half-brother of Rhaenyra Targaryen, who is also a rival to the iron throne, has revealed to the press that things will be quite strenuous for the second season of the hit series.

He spilled this at the official Game of Thrones fans convention at HBO and Creation

Entertainment at the Los Angeles Convention Centre that kicked off on Friday with a mini Q&A panel with Glynn-Carney on the seat.

While he admitted he isn't allowed to discuss much of season 2, he teased a few things that viewers may see.

"I'm looking forward to having Aegon have a lot more meat to get his teeth stuck into and to cause more havoc, really, and to throw a spanner in the works, which he does so well."

Filming Will Commence By March 2023

According to Glynn-Carney, the set of season 2 will be open for filming by March next year, and there's a lot of physical work going into the preparations, especially by the actors. He replied to a fan's question during the Q&A,

"All I can tell you is that we're training very hard and we are making sure our bodies are in good enough condition for how strenuous season 2 is gonna be."

The actor also hoped people won't be too quick to judge Aegon's character, although he admits people already have a bad impression of him.

The actor also spoke on his brother Aemond Targaryen who also eyed the throne calling him a tricky one with many layers to the character, calling fans not to make up their minds about him yet.

"He's not an out-and-out psychopath. There are complexities and intricacies within him that make him an absolute gift to play. He keeps me guessing, so hopefully that translates to keep everyone else on their toes."

'House Of The Dragon' Season 1

The first season closed with the death of King Viserys Targaryen, who birthed princess Rhaenyra and was the chosen heir. After his death, the Hand of the King Otto Hightower and Queen Alicent moved to usurp the throne and make Aegon II the king in King's Landing.

Rhaenyra was, in turn, made queen of Westeros from Dragonstone by her camp, and this opens the floor for the Dance of the Dragons, the civil war fought between the two Targaryens and their territories for the control of the Seven Kingdoms.

A notable event also escalated the situation - the death of Lucerys Targaryen by dragon Vhagar initiated by Aemond Targaryen.
