Blurred Lines star Emily Ratajkowski has transformed herself over the past few years. The model has ventured into multiple businesses and creative pursuits and brandished the tag of being 'just a model'. Among other things, Ratajkowski has now written a book, owns a clothing line, hosts a podcast, and much more. Her podcast High Low with EmRata started last month and is proving to be a big hit already. On the podcast, Ratajkowski dives deeper into problems that both she, as well as other millennial women, face on a daily basis.

Dealing With the Issue

In a recent episode of her podcast, Ratajkowski touched on her fear of abandonment and how she is working on it. She described that when she started therapy she tested for an “anxious preoccupied” attachment style, but over time thanks to therapy, she has progressed to a more "secure" type. She went on to add that while some people get their help from their partners, she was able to get there due to the therapy sessions she regularly took.

Benefits of Therapy

On the podcast episode, Ratajkowski shared, "I’ve been in therapy for quite a long time. They (anxious preoccupied type) often seek approval, support, and responsiveness from their partner. You’re always turning to your parent for more reassurance. For me, it was really in therapy where I learned to be independent and get to the root of my fear of abandonment.”

Spotted with Pete Davidson

Ratajkowski split with her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard after close to five years of marriage amidst reports that he cheated on her. Since then, the My Body author has been spotted on dates with DJ Orazio Rispo and more notably Pete Davidson. It is reported that the two are serious about each other and will start to date soon if they have not already. In recent interviews, when asked about being single she said, "It’s so nice, honestly. I don’t owe anything to anybody — other than my son, that’s the only man.”

Knowing What She Wants

The 31-year-old model has come of age in the past few years. Her writing, as well as her podcasts, suggest that with age she has gained a deeper understanding of who she is and what she wants out of both life and a significant other. She admitted the same in the interview saying, "I wasn’t very good at deciding what I liked. So now it’s really fun to go to dinner with someone and be like, ‘Cool. I really enjoyed these parts of them. I really didn’t like these other parts."
