'1000-lb Sisters' Tammy Slaton Slips Into Coma After Starting Rehab

During her monologue, the starlet fabs know she had decided to take the big set forward, albeit nervous, excited, and ready to "get over it all." The camera panned to her sister, fellow star, and sister Amy who shared her two cents on his Tammy should approach the great task ahead of her. Amy shared,

At this utterance, Tammy hilariously cuts in letting Amy know she did not need to be a sponge, as she couldn't get any bigger. Amy chimed in a joke asking her beloved sister not to "soak up the food, but to soak up the knowledge." The TV stars' mom, Darlene Slaton, also shared her heartfelt feelings as she emotionally encouraged her daughter. Darlene let Tammy know how much she was proud of her, as she mentioned that the reality star was the first girl to graduate high school with honors in their circle.

Tammy soon gets ready to leave in her brother Chris' car. The star who also got weight loss surgery, and his wife, Brittany helped the Youtuber get to her destination. On the way, the couple had to briefly stop as Tammy's oxygen level dropped. They eventually got to Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Ohio and a nurse was seen helping Tammy get out of Chris' car.

Once inside the center, and in her room, the reality personality stated that it was quite a lot of stress getting to the center, but it had to be done. Before the video went off, Tammy relayed that it was the last time fans would see her at "this size."

Fans were alarmed after Tammy made headlines a day after checking herself into the rehab center. This happened after her brother made it known that she had slipped into a coma. Chris explained noting that the 36-year-old was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after her health took a turn for the worse. Her brother stated that after he and his wife dropped her off, they received a call that she stopped breathing. Their sister, Amanda, emotionally stated,

"They're just telling us that her lungs have given up and like her body is shutting down. So at this point, you know, we're facing making funeral arrangements for my little sister." 

A worried Amanda kept talking about how Tammy had been in such bad shape for a long, as she wondered if she waited too long to get help. While the TV star fought for her life at the hospital, doctors put her on a ventilator and in a medically induced coma. According to Chris, the health workers did not know if she was going to make it through the night.

He noted that he had stayed with others at the hospital for four days, and on the last, the 1000-lb Sisters star woke up and wanted to go home. She was operated and a tracheotomy was performed such that doctors created a breathing tube in case of another emergency. After three weeks at the hospital, Tammy Slaton returned to rehab.
