While co-parenting heavily depends on adults tolerating and meeting each other halfway, it takes a lot to get to this point. The issues in this kind of parenting arrangement range from differences in ideologies, and beliefs, and how each person wants to raise their child. And the scathing reality is that co-parents tend to get into hassles a lot more than peaceful times. A Reddit user, who is currently having issues with his ex-partner, reached out to other Redditors on how they had a fallout over their daughter.

The Redditor shared parenthood with his ex-partner as they have a 14-year-old daughter. He made it known that right from the start, he and his ex had a different idea of parenting and this was often the crux of the matter.

The OP Took Matters Into Their Hands

The Redditor started by letting other users know that while his ex had a penchant for wanting everything to be kept groomed and perfect, their daughter, Lauren, did not care much for that, and this often led to clashes. According to him, Lauren had curly hair, and often since she was born he and his ex did not know how to properly groom the hair but left it to grow because it was beautiful. As the little girl grew older, she did not like her hair or care for it much. She also often felt like her mom bothered her too much to keep it groomed.

The mom-daughter duo also clashed over other things like makeup and dresses While Lauren's mom wanted her to wear chic dresses and put on makeup from time to time, the youngster did not care for it, and as she often felt like makeup took a lot of time. Following her most recent visit to her mom's place, Lauren returned to her dad's house with a full makeover. According to the OP, his ex had straightened Lauren's hair and stacked her bag with dresses, and makeup for Christmas. He stated that the teenager was far from happy, and that made him ask her if she wanted to donate the outfits. She agreed to this, and they did just that.

Afterward, he took her to the barber's shop where her hair was cut low and dyed blue at Lauren's request. She also wanted another set of piercings which the OP obliged. Ultimately, all hell broke loose after his ex found out what had been done. She became angry that he did not seek her permission before letting their daughter get a haircut and a complete makeover. The OP shared that his ex hated the new look, and blamed him for it. Redditors shared their input on the issue:
