Hollywood Stars have reacted to the news of Kirstie Alley's death with heartwrenching tributes and grievous hearts. The Emmy award winner died at the age of 71 years old after battling cancer. She has been recently diagnosed with the terminal illness. The news of her death circulated like wildfire after her children took to Instagram to announce her departure from the earth on Monday, 5th of December 2022.

True And Lilie Parker Announced Their Mom's Death

The two children of the Cheers alum made a post on Instagram announcing the death of their mother. They wrote, "To all our friends far and wide around the world, we are sad to inform you that our mother has passed away after a battle which was recently discovered to be cancer".

True and Lilie shared that although their mother was celebrated on the screen for being iconic, she was even more amazing as their mother and grandmother. True and Lilie also used the opportunity to thank Moffitt cancer center for their care during their mother's illness, and also thanked everyone for their love and prayers while urging them to respect their privacy at this trying time.

Jamie Lee Curtis Reminsced On The Late Star's Hollywood Impact

Curtis posted a picture on Instagram which captured her moment with Alley as she pens down her heartfelt messages. She wrote, " I just heard the sad news that Kirstie Alley is dead. She was a great comic foil in @tvscreamsqueens and a beautiful mama bear in her real life". The American actress also revealed that the Scream queens celebrity once bought onesies for her family that year during Christmas and ended her writeup with sad news.

John Travolta Also Penned Down His Heartfelt Tribute To Kirstie Alley

American actor, John Travolta also has lovely memories of the Fat actress which he shared via a post on Instagram. The post was captioned "Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I've ever had. I love you Kirstie. I know we will meet again" alongside a picture of Alley in a white wedding dress. The second slide also showed a moment he shared with Alley with the duo smiling at each other.

A lot of stars have shared their tribute for Alley to publications and also via social media platforms. In a statement with People, Alley's co-star, Kesley Grammer said she has always believed that grief for a celebrity is a private matter but she did love Alley. Also, fellow Cheers stars such as Ted Danson and Rhea Perlman have expressed their grief while giving statements to the news site.

Danson disclosed that while on a plane, he watched an old episode of Cheers, the part where Tom Berenger proposed to Alley who kept saying no even though she wanted to say yes which he found to be brilliant. He revealed that the Siblings Rivalry alum will be greatly missed.
