Unlikely animal friendships have a way of getting to you. Like, your heart will automatically melt the second you see two adorable creatures put their differences aside to hang out and just be cute. And this viral TikTok showing a squirrel hanging out with a cat is no exception!
The TikTok account @pipthebabysquirrel shows a woman taking care of and raising baby squirrels before sending them back into the wild. But these small rodents aren’t the only animals the woman has in her life; the account also showcases cats. In one particular viral TikTok from the account, a cat named Beanz hangs out with an incredibly tiny baby squirrel named Alvin.

Posted just a few weeks ago, the 49-second video shows Alvin sitting and crawling next to a much larger tabby cat, Beanz. There are a few times when Beanz leans over to sniff the tiny squirrel, and by the end of the video, Alvin can be seen crawling onto Beanz’s tail.
The entire time, Beanz is one calm cat. “You’re so sweet, Beanie, thank you,” the owner says, acknowledging the cat’s good behavior.
Since being uploaded, the TikTok has been viewed over 181 thousand times. It has nearly 20 thousand likes, and hundreds of users shared the love in the comment section.

If you’re a cat owner, you’ve probably come home to a bird on the porch or found a dead mouse in your bedroom thanks to your rambunctious and generous kitty. Despite being an animal a cat like Beanz would potentially hunt down outdoors, the cat seemed pretty warm and cuddly when he was sitting next to the baby squirrel. Users were impressed by how patient and loving Beanz was.
