Kate Winslet is starring in a TV family drama alongside her daughter Mia, 22, and has been busy promoting the new movie before its release billed for later this month. The 41-year-old actress is fashionably doing it in a silk and leather number at the photo-call for the new project.

The Titanic star looked elegant in a navy silk shirt and leather leggings at the photo call for I Am Ruth. The shirt featured silver buttons and a solid collar which she paired with gold necklace and diamond drop earrings.
She adorned her gorgeous feet in black pointed court heels and packed her soft blonde locks in a low ponytail showing off her youthful face with natural makeup and rosy lips as she left a few curls out.
The actress admired daughter Mia Threapleton's courage when they filmed the project together.
She told Lorraine last Thursday that Mia didn't need her advice and would tell her to shut up while they filmed. She continued that her daughter had a power she never had as a young actress and described her experience working with her as amazing.
"It was really amazing working alongside her and actually being blown away by her courage...she's very very powerful. I think this young generation of actors, I have to say there's a naturalism to their acting and they're just braver."
The star further spoke about her parenting experience and admitted that it can be very hard to step away and let children make their own choices.
"It's very very very hard to just trust that they know how to take care of themselves these days and how to care for them...sometimes, you just have to leave them to it and step away, and as a parent, it's very hard."
She also stated that there was some "overlap" between her real-life role as Mia's mother and starring as her on-screen parent in the drama, but the most important thing is creating something that will resonate with the viewers.
Winslet plays a concerned mom, Ruth, who tries to support her teenage daughter Freya to overcome a serious mental health crisis due to the pressures of social media. The actor shares the screen Mia in the feature-length installment of the female-led drama anthology series I Am, which Dominic Savage created.
The movie airs on Channel 4 this December, and we can't wait to see how the duo fared.
