Kate Hudson Opens Up About Co-Parenting Three Children With Three Different Fathers

Kate Hudson recently opened up on the idea of co-parenting three children with three different fathers. The former Glee star shares custody of son Ryder, 18, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, son Bingham, 11, with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, and daughter Rani Rose, 4, with fiancé Danny Fujikawa. While this setup is not common, Hudson believes that she has created a 'strong unit' for her children to develop in.

In a recent interview, Hudson shared her thoughts on the setup and why it works for her. She said, "It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside, I feel like we’re killing it. The unit that I’ve created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it’s ours."

Hudson continued, "I’m not interested in forcing some conventional idea of love or marriage. I’d like to be able to grow intimately with my partner for a long time, but I also don’t have rose-colored glasses on. My goal in life is that I want to feel love and I want to give love, but I’m also practical, so, one day at a time.”

Hudson shares custody of her eldest child Ryder, 18, with ex-husband Chris Robinson. The two started dating in May of 2000 and were engaged by December of the same year just seven months after meeting. They split up in 2007. The multifaceted Hudson shares custody of her 11-year-old son Bingham with ex-fiance Matt Bellamy. The pair started dating in early 2010 and welcomed a son three months after their engagement in April 2011. Bellamy and Hudson called off their engagement and amicably parted ways in December 2014.

Hudson is currently engaged to musician, actor, and businessman, Danny Fujikawa. The pair welcomed a daughter in October 2018 which was announced via Instagram. The engagement bells rang for Danny Fujikawa and Kate Hudson on September 13th, 2021.
