Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is quite possibly the most famous person in the world, boasting more than 350 million Instagram followers and a global audience.

He's known for his wrestling career, blockbuster movies, and general nice guy persona, but he's also a fitness icon. It makes perfect sense that he'd collaborate with fitness and lifestyle brand Under Armour to create a clothing lineup, known as ProjectRock.

If recent Instagram posts are any indication, Johnson has added another star athlete to his brand — alpine ski legend Lindsey Vonn.

Vonn Is a Huge Name in the Ski World.

The 38-year-old Vonn is now retired, but during her lengthy career as an alpine ski racer, she accumulated four World Cup championships along with three Olympic gold medals.

She finally retired from the sport after the 2019 World Championships, going down in history as one of the most accomplished alpine skiers of all time. Vonn has been fairly quiet since her retirement, but fans can keep up with her on Instagram, where she frequently shares photos and videos of her daily workout routine.

Lindsey Vonn Plus Dwayne Johnson: A Match Made in Heaven?

Vonn recently shared this post on Insta, showing her working out in a distinctive pink ensemble emblazoned with Johnson's signature brahma bull icon. It turns out the post is an announcement for Vonn teaming up with The Rock to help promote his ProjectRock collection.

A quick look at the Stories section of Vonn's account shows her making regular bite-sized posts about the brand.

They’ve Been Friends for a Long Time.

Anyone who follows either Vonn or Johnson on social media has probably noticed that the two pop up on each other's timelines pretty frequently. It seems that they first bonded over their shared love of fitness, and Vonn's recent post shows that they're now involved in a professional partnership to promote ProjectRock.

Will More Top Athletes Join ProjectRock?

Looking at the @projectrock Insta page, most posts feature Johnson, with a few featuring Vonn. Aside from Vonn (and of course, Johnson), the line hasn't focused heavily on celebrity endorsements — but signing Vonn up would indicate that ProjectRock may be looking to partner up with other big names.

It'll be intriguing to see if other star athletes or influencers join up with ProjectRock. They'll have big shoes to fill in the company of megastars with Johnson and Vonn, so we can't wait to see what happens next.
