One of the best parts about owning your own home (besides getting away from your elephant-stomping neighbors) is the freedom to alter your home as you'd like!

There's no landlord to hold your security deposit over your head, or roommates to tell you no. It's just sweet freedom!

It is, however, easy to turn to the dark side. In this case, it's the story of a man who altered her toilet to look like Darth Vader!

The Man Had Clearly Turned His Back Side to the Dark Side

"I am altering my toilet. Pray I don’t alter it any further," Reddit u/Dividebynegativezero wrote on the u/funny subreddit. His post showed an all-black shiny Darth Vadar toilet, complete with the creepy mask and all.

Since it was posted on u/funny, it's hard to tell if he's actually being serious.

Regardless, People Had Lots of Thoughts!

"Darth Vader, Lord of the Sit," one user wrote. There were lots of jokes: "'I can't poop.' Don't force it,'" another added. "I am your farter," commented a third. LOL.

And, of course, there was a lot of confusion, like this one: "I find your lack of toilet paper disturbing."

People Have Done Some Horrifying Things to Bathrooms Over the Years

There's this bathroom that must be what nightmares are made of. If you listen real closely, you can practically hear the bacteria and mold licking their lips at all the places they can infest! There are just so many opportunities for them to grow!

The best part is, it can happen, time and time again, anytime the homeowner decides to take a bath.

There's not enough time in the world to explain why this is a very, very bad idea for any homeowner to recreate! Sure, you'd get the chance to warm your buns the moment you sat down, but you're also sitting on MILLIONS of germs.

Imagine if this toilet was found in a public place. You'd have millions upon millions of different butts imprinting their germs on there forever. We wouldn't even trust this toilet seat if it were washed!

Even Celebrities Have Made House Design Fails

They clearly need the help of HGTV stars, like the Property Brothers, Jonathan and Drew, or Chip and Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper. In 2020, actress Demi Moore went viral for sharing a behind-the-scenes look at herself having a virtual meeting on her MacBook.

"Excited to finally share what I've been working on! First episode of #DirtyDiana drops Monday, July 13," she captioned the post.

But all fans could notice was the fact that she had a couch and carpet in her bathroom. Talk about a germ-infested wasteland.
