The White Lotus Season Two is off to a great start from the pilot episode, which gave viewers an eyeful of Theo James' privates to the subsequent episodes.

Apart from the foursome constantly making headlines, Jack and Portia, introduced in episode four, is another couple with people talking.

Jack and Portia developed a flirty relationship with banter, giving fans that famous Mike White comic relief in the drama-packed series.

Budding Romance Between Jack And Portia

Portia, who Haley Lu Richardson plays, has a tense relationship with Adam DiMarco's Albie until she meets Jack (Leo Woodall). Jack and Portia meet through Tanya (Jen Coolidge, the only star from season one to return) and his uncle, Quentin (Tom Hollander), at their private party.

Sparks fly between the duo on their first meeting after Portia complains about Albie being boring.

Woodall shared his thoughts on the characters and that situation saying their chemistry and flirtatious banter is just them having fun. They're both young and desire fun romance but have different approaches.

The actor believes Jack is aware of Portia's aura but isn't ready for anything serious, unlike her, who's conflicted. Portia wants a nice guy like Albie but can't stand his tedious nature romantically. So she also wants a fun guy like Jack but would get sick of his flighty nature.

Mike White Is A Genius Writer, Director, And Creator

Woodall credits the showrunner, Mike White, for his ability to write characters that resonate with his actors personally. As he did with Aubrey Plaza, who connected with her character Harper, Woodall also felt close to Jack.

He told The Wrap,

"I think [at] this point, he just wants to go and have fun and not have to hang around with his uncle and his uncle’s friends, because you want to hang out with the people that you can find real common ground with."

Season Three Is Coming

The White Lotus season two is set in the Sicilian branch of the luxurious hotel and takes the same multi-person narrative as the first season. Like a regular resort, several guests lodge with their numerous drama.

The only difference between the seasons is the social environment of each resort. White said the second season would explore Italian myths from "sexual politics to role play" like a modern opera, and we've seen it play out.

The first three episodes already offered an insight into White's opera from the chaotic relationships of Harper, Ethan, Daphne, and Cameron. It's renewed for a third season.
