One thing we love about Blake Lively is how she makes simple artwork into a historical fashion statement. You may look at a pretty wallpaper and think oh, what a pretty one; I bet I can find the right flowers to pair it with. But not this stylish actress.

Lively looks at wallpapers and sees potential nail art, and we have the pictures to prove it.

Something 'New' - Grandma Nail Art

One look at an antique wallpaper and Lively thinks of fashion and style. She surprised fans with a stunning nail art recreation of an "antique grandma wallpaper" as she described it on her Instagram stories.

Celebrity nail stylist Elle Gerstein helped bring this nail art vision to life and is rightfully credited on the yellow background photo Lively uploaded on her stories.

Gerstein styles this nail art incredibly as it retains the original outlook of a 70's wallpaper yet sits pretty as a nail design on the actress's fingers.

The shade of yellow background with a mix of a brown and green flower is enough to tell us the idea that is being recreated here. Also included in this photo is a House of hackney tag with the caption, "I really hope this is a first."

Matching With Her Wallpaper

We can deduce that the inspiration behind this nail art is wallpaper from this fashion and lifestyle brand specializing in patterned prints. A congratulatory post on Elle's Instagram also confirms this suspicion.

"Nail Inspiration for [Lively] was this gorgeous [Ralph Lauren] dress or was it a coincidence that it matched her @houseofhackney wallpaper. Shhh, I’ll never tell. But I will say this. I’m grateful for Blake’s visions and taste for mixing colors until they are JUST RIGHT. Her love of texture is truly divine!"

It takes a skilled stylist to bring imagination to life, especially when this vision comes from Blake Lively. We wouldn’t mind more creative recreations as nail art from this stylish duo.

Innovative Nail Art

This is not the first time Gerstein will beautify the fingers of the gossip girl star. In 2021, the stylist created a pretty pressed flowers design on Lively fingers for the “Free Guy” movie premiere. Lively, via her Instagram posts declares that she is not over the pressed nails.

Nail art is not the only activity the star excels at. Lively seems to love pumpkin baking and spent this last Halloween indulging. She shares this interest on her Instagram post during the Halloween season.

Attention To Details

One thing you can’t take away from Lively is how she pays attention to details. You can tell from her breathtaking appearance during the Met Gala earlier this year. She paired her gorgeous dress with a crown detailed with seven spikes.

This imitated the spiked crown sitting on the head of the regal statue of Liberty, and she lets us know she counted when Lorraine Schwartz asked who would know.
