Whether or not you claim to be a dog lover, absolutely everyone loves puppies. Their innocence combined with their neverending love and affection is enough to melt the heart of even the most reserved stoic.

As it turns out, DCEU faithful Jason Mamoa, star of the forthcoming Netflix original Slumberland, loves puppies, too! Jason loves puppies so much that he decided to sit down with Buzzfeed in order to answer some of the internet's most pressing questions.

The conversation immediately turns to the topic of Slumberland — a Netflix Original film that's based on the 1920s comic strip Little Nemo by Windsor McKay. After Jason is asked how his preparation for the role differed from previous films, Jason replied by saying how he was forced to rediscover his inner child. This was made all the more easy thanks to his co-star in the movie, Marlow Barkley, as well as his own son who's also 12 years old.

Jason Is Then Asked To Name Which Iconic Character He'd Bring To Life On The Big Screen, If Given The Chance

"I'm doing it right now in Chief of War," Jason replied. "So I'm playing this character called Ka'iana-a-Ahuula, and he travels from Hawaii, and he travels to China, Alaska, and comes back, — and he's a part of the unification of the Hawaiian Islands with Kamehameha."

Jason goes on to talk about how the forthcoming role is a dream come true for him, one that's been 15 years in the making.

Later On In The Interview, Jason Reveals His Love For One Of The '90s Most Iconic Sitcoms

Jason is asked to name what TV show, past or present, that he'd like to guest star on if given the chance to do so. "This is weird, but Friends," Jason said with a chuckle. "Because my daughter is obsessed with Friends."

Why would anyone think that would be weird? I for one would have loved to have seen Jason go toe-to-toe with the comedic wit of Chandler or to have been the one who ends up with Rachel at the series' conclusion.

The Interview Closes Out With Jason Relaying Which Aspects Of Polynesian Culture He Wishes More People Were Aware Of

"I mean, our whole history," he replied. "Understanding what's happened to Hawaii, that we're actually occupied — that it's not an actual state, as many people think."

Be sure to check out Jason in Slumberland, which makes its Netflix premiere on November 18th.
