Breakups hurt the same for us all. Whether you're an A-list celebrity working in Hollywood or simply an average Joe trying to make ends meet, that feeling of loss and disappointment is one that everyone can relate to.

Earlier this year, founding Brat-Pack member Demi Moore went public with her new relationship with celebrity chef Daniel Humm. It has now been confirmed by Us Weekly that the couple has officially called things off less than a year after beginning their relationship.

Demi was married to Nu-Kats lead singer/frontman Freddy Moore for five years before calling it quits. She famously wed action star Bruce Willis in 1987, with whom she shares her three children: Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout. Lastly, Demi was married to That 70s Show alum Ashton Kutcher from 2005 until 2013.

Since that time, Demi has dated on and off again, but there was nobody whom she seemed intent on getting serious with — until Swiss chef Daniel Humm came into her life. Sadly, it has now been confirmed that Demi and Daniel have gone their separate ways after less than a year together.

The then-couple posted a collection of photos on Moore's Instagram that showed them cuddling close and holding hands. A few months later in the early spring, Humm accompanied Moore to the French Open finals. Although the news carries a heavy emotional toll, a source close to Demi says that the former Brat-Pack member is doing just fine.

"She's in a good place," the source said. "She's happy and enjoying her children and her friends."

"Happy birthday @demimoore," Emma wrote in her story. "We love you inside and out."

Earlier this year, Demi was asked by PEOPLE magazine whether or not she was looking forward to turning 60, to which she replied that she found the prospect to be a liberating one at that.

"Not Being Defined By A Number And Instead Being Defined By My Experience."

"You hit 59 and you're already thinking, 'Well, I'm going to be 60.' It feels very liberating. When I think of my grandmother at 60, she in a way seemed to be already resigned to being old. But I feel, in so many ways, more alive and present than ever."
