This year, the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson (and stepdaughter to Antonio Banderas) held court in a mind-blowing sheer Gucci jumpsuit draped in bejeweled fringes and made a swift leap from Hollywood royalty to fashion queen. The Fifty Shades of Grey star made a daring power play in gauzy black lace at the sophisticated affair in May. Baring it all in the fully see-through one-piece, she upped the ante by leaving her bra at home. With nothing but a scattered floral print and glitzy embellishments to maintain her modesty, her nude undies were completely visible in the tight-fitting attire that flaunted her figure.

In keeping with this year's Met Gala "Gilded Glamour" theme, The Persuasion star added some more wow factor to her attire with a sumptuous velvet robe that trailed behind her in a round train. Cinched at the waist with a matching belt adorned with glittery silver fringes, the baroque piece came with trumpet sleeves that were so long they nearly fell to the ground. Shoulder pads added a bit of contour to the flowy item.
The look was a medley of intricate details that didn't stop at the beaded fringes on her jumpsuit. She wore complementing long dangling earrings and a matching statement ring. Likewise, her glossy pointy-end stilettos coordinated with her black nails, highlighting her supple legs with thick ankle cuffs.

Dakota doesn't go all out only at the Met Gala. The 33-year-old bagged another head-turning red-carpet look at the International Tribeca Film Festival the following month. Stepping out in a white blazer dress for the premiere of her Cha Cha Real Smooth movie, she jazzed up the fashion staple in the most unique way: with a crystal spine and ribcage adorning its cut-out back.
An Area design, she paired the one-of-a-kind dress with strappy silver pumps. She held on to a black purse with an ornate chain handle and complemented all of the sparkling details with multiple hoop earrings.

These days, Dakota is everyone's favorite taxi driver. Hopping behind the wheel on the set of Madame Web, the movie star took fans on a wild ride through the streets of New York on October 12 when she was photographed filming an action scene.
Her outfit caused a stir among Marvel fans due to a tell-tale detail. She wore a red leather jacket, which was a huge giveaway that she’ll be portraying the Julia Carpenter version of Madame Web.
