Not all Avengers are created equal. Sure, each member of the team has a unique set of skills and is formidable in their own right, but no one on earth would ever make the mistake of confusing "The God of Thunder" with Antman.

Chris Hemsworth's god-bod and dedication to his physical form are what helped spawn the new Disney + adventure series, Limitless. And according to Chris, it was almost axed outright by Marvel after they discovered how he blew out his ankle while filming.

‘Limitless With Chris Hemsworth’ Is Set To Premiere on Disney+ on November 16th

The show was first announced on Disney Investor Day in 2020 and follows Chris as he attempts to discover how humans can live smarter, healthier, and longer lives. Through a series of strength and endurance missions, Chris pushes his body to new limits in an effort to maximize his strength, build mental toughness, and create better resilience, all while confronting his own mortality.

The objective was to then lower Chris down 100 feet and have him climb back up, using only his feet and hands. If you were ever forced to climb the rope in gym class, it's a lot like that. Except for if you happen to slip and fall, you don't land on a dusty gym mat — you die.

During an Appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, Chris Explained That His Trainer for the Stunt Had Given Him a Special Set of Instructions

"The guy who was training me said, 'You know what, you want to be as lean and light as possible. You want to be strong but don't put on too much weight.'" Taking the advice to heart, Chris decided that it would be best to film the rope climb before he began bulking up for Thor: Love and Thunder.

"Then Marvel stepped in and said, 'No, no. The show that might kill him? You can do that after our film.'" Therefore, Chris was forced to hold off and perform the rope climb while still in Thor-shape. "My trainer looked at me and said, 'You're screwed. This is going to be the hardest thing you've ever done.'" At that point, Chris explained that completing the task was less about strength and more about harnessing sheer will and determination.
