Enola Holmes 2 dropped to critical acclaim at the beginning of this month, and fans can't stop talking about how great it is. From the acting to the twisted storyline and the appearance of a gender-flipped Moriarty, the game was afoot, and we all enjoyed unraveling it.

For a Victorian-era movie of that magnitude (any scale, really), it was important to get the fine print and details right to a T. A verbiage from Millie Bobby Brown almost led the Director, Harry Bradbeer, to cut the scene, but he left it in upon research.

Keep reading to see what the fuss was about.

Was That Millie Or Enola?

Improvisations come easily to good actors, but it's not often encouraged because of their potential influence on the script and overall storytelling. During one of her exchanges with Henry Cavill, who played Sherlock Holmes, Enola's older brother, Brown improvised the line, "I have a crazy idea!"

Before accepting it into the movie, Bradbeer researched the vocabulary of the early 20th century, thus confirming that the word "crazy" wasn't too modern for their film. It wasn't the first time Brown improvised, and Bradbeer discussed this with her.

Millie Vs. Enola

The struggle between balancing Enola Homes and Millie Bobby Brown threw both actress and director for a loop. Bradbeer told Insider the reality check always came with a question,

"If I was Enola, would I do that?"

The answer blurred the line between contemporary and Victorian, and they got a great movie. Rotten Tomatoes rated the film a whopping 92% which is more than IMDb's 6.8/10 and Metacritic's 65% which is a similar rating for the first part.

Enola Holmes 2 explores the young lady's life as a detective as she works towards making a name for herself.

More Improv From Millie

Other improvisations from the movie include Enola leaning back on her chair in Sherlock's apartment and peeking at her older brother's paper-strewn floor. That action was typically Enola, who's always eager to prove herself.

It helped the production crew to know that Brown and Enola had similarities, making it easy for the 18-year-old to embody her role. However, the similarities posed problems of blurred lines.

She Finally Proved Herself

Enola Holmes 2 finally gave us our Tewksbury and Enola moment when the couple kissed in the ending scenes, and she proved herself to everyone.

Brown showed up to the premiere in a beautiful pink dress decorated with black applique flowers. The plunging neckline and dipped backline showed off bits of her skin, and she topped it with a messy two-toned bun.
