Jason Momoa came prepared to entertain as he stripped down to Hawaiian malo on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The Aquaman actor expressed his love for the traditional malo while sharing his feelings about wearing clothes. There are also other instances where the actor flaunted his malo, showing his deep passion for this culture.  

Momoa Speaks On Wearing His Hawaiian Malo

The See actor made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on November 10th. During the show, Kimmel showed the audience an Instagram photograph of the actor. The picture showed Momoa during a fishing trip wearing brown thong-like clothing. The actor explained the outfit was a traditional malo that the Hawaiians wear.

Momoa said he got used to wearing it while preparing for an upcoming series, Chief of War. The actor further revealed that he wears the malo every day for the series. The series takes place during the late 18th century in Hawaii. The Frontier actor shared he was tanning his ass in preparation for the role. 

Stripping Down To His Butt On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

After the actor explained the reason for wearing the malo, Kimmel inquired if the clothing was comfortable. The DC star replied, "I actually don't even like wearing clothes anymore." He shared that he was always in thong-like clothing. During their live interview, the host then asked if Momoa was wearing the malo.

To answer the question, the actor stood up and stripped his butt down. He was then only clad the traditional thong-like clothing. The Dune actor bared his butt for the host and audience to see. 

Another Cheeky Butt Display During Fishing Trip With Friends

The 43-year-old actor is not shy to display his malo, even during a fishing trip with friends. The actor took to his Instagram story to document pictures and videos from the trip. In the uploads, the Stargate Atlantis actor was clad in the malo.

An image showed the actor wearing an item of beige thong-like clothing while he reeled in a fish. In another photo, Momoa posed beside a friend with their catches held up. Another image also showed the actor catching rainbows in a Mananalu water bottle. In the picture's caption, the actor employed people to stop the single use of a plastic bottle. He implored them to recycle instead of using a plastic bottle once.

During the fishing trip, Momoa packed his hair in a man bun. The actor had previously showcased his haircut on Instagram. Then, he revealed he cut his hair to point out the issue of using plastic once. The actor was in the Hawaiian Ocean at that time. He took to Instagram to express his sadness about the things dumped in the ocean. The actor further encouraged people to "eliminate single-use plastics" in their lives. 

The actor also got a tribal tattoo on the side of his head at that time. He took to Instagram to flaunt his new intricate artwork. In the post, he expressed his gratitude to Hawaiian artist Sulu'ape Keone Nunes.
