There's nothing worse than doing something the same way for years, only to learn there's an easier way to do it. That's the feeling I get whenever I find out about a really good lifehack I'd never heard of before.
And like these Redditors, who learned these easier methods the hard way, I'm just glad I know about them now.

Put a bit of vinegar in the water, and you'll get everything sparkling.
Another user added, "Ctrl+delete does the same but in the opposite direction. You can also use CTRL+Shift+Arrow keys to select entire words instead of individual characters."

But for me, double knotting is probably the best thing.
