Christmas, summer, or all year-round? The best time to watch Die Hard has been in hot debate for decades now, with no one being able to settle on an answer that appeases everybody.

However, we now have input from leading man Bruce Willis' own family, information that may sway people to finally make up their minds. Or not, who knows, we can't tell you what to do!

Ah, the age-old question, is 'Die Hard' a Christmas movie?

The question has existed for as long as the movie has. It was a summer blockbuster during it's original release in 1988, but since it was set on Christmas Eve, many fans think it's best watched during the holiday season.

We've never had any official input about the matter.

Until recently, that is.

A TMZ photographer asked Rumer and Scout Willis, daughters of Die Hard's star Bruce Willis, what their opinion on the ongoing debate is, and which side they take.

Scout was quick to answer.

She firmly believes that Die Hard is a Christmas movie, so much so that she said it twice. She reportedly said it with a lot of conviction, too, leading people to believe this is an opinion the whole family holds.

Well, most of them anyway.

Bruce's mother has gone on record saying she doesn't think Die Hard is a Christmas movie, so there's still a bit of a divide there.

Whether you take the word of Bruce's daughters as gospel is up to you. Christmas movie or not, it's a great flick!
