There's a reason people caution you not to meet your heroes: you may end up disappointed.
But what if that hero, or some other random celeb, comes into your place of work? It's not like you could ignore them. I mean, not unless you want to be fired.

One Redditor can die happy after they made the Star Wars icon a sandwich. Only thing is, they didn't know it was him until they brought him his order.
They were so shocked, all they could say was "oh" when it clicked in.
"My manager worked at DQ once in a small town where Tom Cruise was filming and he came in with Katie Holmes and Suri. Apparently, he was a badass who graciously signed everyone autographs and hugged every shrieking girl before ordering Blizzards for a bunch of the crew and cast." -u/deleted
As one of the world's quirkiest guys, you never know what you're going to get with the actor. So when he met a Redditor at a dragon/pagan style gift shop, he did what Cage does and he bought a solid silver goblet encrusted with jewels for $1200.

Back when Blockbuster was still a thing, a Redditor had the displeasure of meeting the home maven. They wrote that she was about as cold as you'd expect. This also took place before she spent time in prison.

Thanks to the fast food drive-throughs, most workers don't know who's behind the speaker.
That is, until one Redditor recognized the comedian's voice! He said, "Hey how's everyone there doing tonight? Good, I hope, because I am doing just dandy" before ordering a large vanilla cone.

Walmart is the last place you'd expect to run into a celeb, let alone The O.C. star, but that's exactly what happened. The Redditor didn't recognize her at first, but once she did, she tried not to freak out as she purchased bed sheets.

To avoid fans realizing it was her, the actress came into Starbucks wearing sunglasses and looking like she didn't want to be bothered.
So the Redditor who worked there handled the situation like a pro by treating her like all of his other regulars.

Sadly, one Redditor's encounter with the star didn't go well. They met her while they were interning for a show in Shanghai.
They wrote that she absolutely refused to talk to anyone except the host. She was also annoyed that the interview was 30 minutes and not 15.
