Fran Drescher is one of those celebrities that everyone adores. To be fair, we're only human — how could we not love her? She's bubbly, she's talented, and she's totally hilarious!

In addition to being a cultural icon and star of the '90s sitcom The Nanny, Fran is a cancer survivor and a tireless advocate of the LGBTQ+ community.

With such an amazing life and legacy, Fran feels no need to marry again.

As fans of the iconic Fran Drescher know, the actress has a non-traditional relationship with her ex-husband.

She and The Nanny showrunner Peter Marc Jacobson were childhood sweethearts and were married from 1978 to 1999. This power couple created and co-producer the hit TV series before divorcing.

Peter came out as gay once the pair divorced and continued their relationship as close friends.

In fact, in 2011, the couple developed the television series Happily Divorced, which is based on their love story.

Although the show was canceled, their friendship remained strong.

Now, in a new interview with Daily Mail, the 64-year-old is reflecting on how she managed to save her friendship with her longtime love.

"We had a very wise woman, who was both our manager... She advised us to reinvent the relationship and not throw the baby out with the bath water...there is love there."

"Maybe the marriage no longer works, but there should be a friendship that could still enjoy the test of time."

She continued: "Over the course of time, we kept moving towards each other and now we are probably closer than when we were married: business partners, best of friends and definitely a family."

Fran then went on to explain why she never plans on marrying again.

"I don't think I will ever walk up the aisle with anyone. But I do see us growing old together,' she said. "We are divorced, but still single, because it is hard to compete with what we shared. We have been together since we were 15 and we've been through so much."

Okay, this is the nicest thing I've ever heard — I just love her so much!
