Being cheated on can be a painful and difficult experience. Many people do not know how to truly handle the heartbreak when they are cheated on.

Being lied to, manipulated, and hurt by someone you love can leave you in a blind rage. Many decide that the only way to heal is to first get revenge on the person who burned them.

The best way to get revenge on someone who has hurt you, for many people, is to hurt them back in a way that's just as bad or even worse. Sometimes, people will cheat on their significant other to get even.

However, there are others who want to go even further than that.

Others want to get revenge more than just hooking up with someone else. Instead, they want to take it even further and destroy something important to them—much like the "relationship" they destroyed.

Recently, a viral video has sparked a debate on what is "too far" when trying to get revenge.

A video on TikTok, which has since been removed and deleted from the app, showcases one woman who wanted to get revenge on her boyfriend who cheated on her.

The video showcases her stepping up to a bridge area with something of value in her hand.

The video clip reads, "He cheated so I threw his mom ashes in the river." The woman is walking up to the side railing of the bridge with what appears to be her boyfriend's mother's ashes in an urn.

The woman proceeds to dump the ashes into the river.

The woman opens the porcelain urn and lets the wind take her boyfriend's mother's ashes out of the urn and into the river. She shakes the urn to ensure that all of it came out.

Many people online were torn over this decision.

The girl in the video even throws the entire urn into the river, as well. Many people were not on board with this act of revenge. People felt that she took things way too far.

Some said that his mom would "haunt her."

Many on Tiktok commented saying that this, in no way, was a "win" for the girl in the video. And, another even joked around that his mom would "be coming to see her next."

As it turns out, there are serious repercussions for doing these things.

After the video was viewed over 6.2 million times, Fort Worth Police got involved in the incident. The woman in the video was identified as Augustine Gladney, and she was arrested for her act of revenge after her boyfriend reported the incident in 2020.

The boyfriend, who reported the incident to police, said he overheard her admitting to what she had done.

Gladney was talking to her daughter, telling her what she had done to his mother's ashes and the urn. Later, when confronted, she admitted to doing this.

The video is a "reenactment" of the incident.

As the actual crime took place in 2020, the new video that has gone viral on TikTok appears to be a reenactment of the actual revenge plot she had done two years ago.

Gladney is now facing charges in Texas.

Fort Worth Police say that Gladney is facing charges, which is known as an abuse of a corpse charge. In Texas, this is a Class A misdemeanor.

As it turns out, revenge can backfire when done wrong.
