As the dust settles on the courtroom drama between Johnny Depp and his ex, Amber Heard, one clear winner of the case is Depp's lawyer, Camille Vasquez.
The 37-year-old attorney went viral during the trial for her cross examination of Heard — and eventual victory, securing Depp a large settlement.
Now, it looks like Vasquez is ready for the big time.
Depp's legal team, led by Vasquez, was able to make a compelling argument that Amber Heard defamed the actor in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed. In the end, the jury mostly sided with Depp, awarding him $10 million in compensatory damages, while Heard was awarded $2 million.
The high-profile trial — the biggest news in Hollywood since Will Smith's slap heard 'round the world — was covered extensively in the media, and followed by millions around the world.
Vasquez was a true standout, showing her mettle as she went toe-to-toe with Heard and her legal team throughout the process.
It seems that the world is her oyster at this point, with the New York Post reporting that she's gotten offers from TV networks and cable channels in the week since the trial concluded.
"Camille is inarguably a great voice to weigh in on legal matters and networks are naturally chomping at the bit to speak with her about on-air opportunities," a former network exec told the Post.
Vasquez was an associate at the Brown Rudnick legal firm, and was promptly made partner after her strong showing in the Depp-Heard drama.
"No firm would allow her to have a role in a big trial like this if she wasn't on the partner track," said celebrity lawyer Judd Burstein.
While she's already been made partner at her law firm — no small feat, as Brown Rudnick is a high profile operation — it seems as if Vasquez will have her pick of future gigs, whether it's in the legal world or on television.
If there's one thing that tabloids love, it's rumors of romance surrounding Johnny Depp. Unsurprisingly, there have been rumors that Vasquez and Depp might have something going on, although this has been flatly denied by all parties involved.
Depp has had no shortage of supporters throughout this process, and Vasquez is now the face of his big victory in court. It isn't often that a lawyer becomes a household name, but Camille Vasquez is officially a star.
