I pretty private Hollywood couple, Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling, have recently shared a small sliver of their home dynamic, one that shows they're doing an expert job at raising their two daughters out of the limelight.

Mendes explained that she wants her girls to consider their family partners in everything, and doesn't want them to attribute any certain household activity to any one gender.

Eva Mendes recently opened up about her family dynamic.

In an interview with Forbes, the 48-year-old star shared some of the values she wishes to instill in her two daughters, Esmeralda and Amada who are seven and six respectively.

One of those values involves per partner, actor Ryan Gosling.

She shared that Gosling actually does all the family cooking.

Mendes said he does so because she's not a great cook herself, but there's also another benefit.

"Hopefully it's showing my girls that there are no gender-specific roles that one must take on and that [...] we're all partners in this, not just Ryan and I, but our children as well," she said.

It's a very sweet sentiment and a brilliant lesson for their kids.

"It's a team effort everyday, so if they see him and I switching off doing certain things that again aren't specific to stereotypical gender things, I think that just creates balance and harmony."

It's clear that her children mean the world to her.

In fact, she told USA Today in 2019 that she had originally stopped acting due to meeting Gosling and having children. With home duties to take care of, she reported feeling a lot more motivated.

"I felt a lack of ambition, if I can be honest," she said. "I feel more ambitious in the home right now than I do in the workplace."

This brief look into the couple's life is heartwarming.

The two keep their relationship and thus their family matters pretty private, with Mendes having even stayed off social media for a number of years, only returning recently to promote a company she's now the co-owner of, Skura.

The small glimpses we do get into this famous couple's life always seem to prove that they've got a great family dynamic and are raising their daughters very well.
