It looks like Tommy Chong will be returning to reprise his role as Leo in the upcoming That ’70s Show spinoff, That ’90s Show .
The 84-year-old spilled the news in a recent appearance on The Dark Mark Show , and fans are thrilled that the actor will be making a comeback.
ICYMI, “That ’70s Show” has regrouped for a spinoff series called “That ’90s Show.”

The show is set to center around Eric and Donna’s daughter Leia, played by Callie Haverda.
Leia travels to Wisconsin to spend the summer with her grandparents, Red and Kitty, where she begins making new friends and encountering a few familiar faces, including Tommy Chong’s character, Leo.

Ashton Kutcher , Mila Kunis, and Wilmer Valderrama will all also be making appearances on the show.
The only member of the original Point Place squad who will not be returning is Leo’s protegé Hyde, formerly played by Danny Masterson.

Masterson is currently involved in a criminal trial after being accused of sexual assault by several women.
Joining Callie Haverda as part of the new cast members are Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos.

While there looks to be a perfect blend of old and new elements to That ’90s Show , Chong’s return indicates that the show will be staying true to some of its roots.
While he was unsure of whether or not it was supposed to be kept a secret, in a recent appearance on “The Dark Mark Show,” Chong shared that reprising his role as Leo.

“They gave me a call and I did my part,” he said.
“They never gave me any instructions, so I don’t know if I’m supposed to be talking about it or not,” The 84-year-old admitted, throwing caution to the wind.

“I really don’t give a [expletive] to tell you the truth. I’ve got a big mouth,” he continued.
“That’s what I’m known for,” he added. “I’m back as Leo.”

Chong subsequently took to Twitter to share the exciting news of his return as Leo, and put his stamp of approval on the show after its first table read.
“Just did a virtual ‘table read’ with the cast of ‘That 90’s Show’ and Wow!” the Canadian actor, comedian, and activist tweeted. “So much fun! Another winner!”
