As the highly anticipated trial between actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard continues, new developments are being reported each day. As you may know, the Aquaman star's ex-husband is suing for $50 million for defamation in connection with Amber's 2018 Washington Post essay. In retaliation, Ms. Heard is counter-suing the Pirates of the Caribbean star for $100 million.

As the trial reaches its final stretch, it's been reported that Johnny's ex-girlfriend, supermodel Kate Moss, will testify.

It was reported on Monday that Johnny Depp's ex-girlfriend Kate Moss will testify on Wednesday.

According to the New York Post, the supermodel will join the Fairfax, Virginia, courtroom via Skype. This development was reported shortly after Amber Heard brought up Johnny's ex during her testimony.

Legal experts at "The New York Post" explained that the "Aquaman" actress made a mistake by mentioning Kate on the stand.

This name drop could give Johnny's team the chance to discredit a rumor that he pushed the British model down a flight of stairs while the pair were dating in the 90s.

Amber mentioned Johnny's ex earlier this month while discussing an alleged altercation between the actor and Amber's sister, Whitney Henriquez.

The Aquaman actress said her sister was near a staircase "in the line of fire … trying to get Johnny to stop," which reminded Amber of the rumored incident with Kate.

"[Whitney's] back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her," the 36-year-old testified.

"I don't hesitate, I don't wait — I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs.

"And I swung at him," she continued of the alleged March 2015 incident between herself, her sister Whitney and Johnny.

California-based entertainment lawyer Mitra Ahouraian weighed in on the situation and told "The New York Post" where Amber went wrong. "That’s one mistake that [Amber] made, was bringing up Kate Moss, which potentially opened the door to [Johnny's team] bringing [Kate] on as an impeachment witness" — and Kate "saying 'This never happened,'" Mitra explained.

As those who are following the trial may know, Kate was not originally expected to testify because the rumored staircase incident wasn’t related to the Virginia case.

However, as the publication reports, Amber's mention of Kate opened up the opportunity for the actor's legal team to call upon her to testify.

As fans will recall, Kate and Johnny dated from 1994 to 1997. Their relationship featured a few rocky moments, including reports of a blowout fight in September 1994 which ended with Johnny's arrest.
