Being a person on the internet with any kind of social media following means having to deal with strange, oftentimes overly forward DMs from complete strangers. They usually never end how the strangers want them to, either.

For one TikTok influencer, a DM exchange turned sour after she rejected his advances, and he resorted to fat shaming her in response.

That's pretty icky behavior, if you ask me.

TikTok user Shelby Goodrich Eckard (@pcossupportgirl) posted a TikTok featuring a text exchange she had with a male fan, who was trying to ask her out at the time. She very politely said she wasn't interested.

He, of course, doesn't take no for an answer.

Starting out by saying he'd like to get to know Shelby, and then insisting again after she stated she was neither available nor interested (twice), he finally resorted to calling her names and being insulting.

"Fr? Ur lucky someone like me would even think about touching ur [expletive] ass."

After that, Shelby replies by telling him to back off. Then she finds out he's engaged, and threatens to tell his fiancée about the whole exchange, to which he calls her a "fat [expletive]" and says there's no need to get anyone else involved.

So of course, she reaches out to the fiancée.

Plenty of commenters on her first TikTok asked for the update, which didn't disappoint.

In the second TikTok, Shelby posts the conversation she has with the fiancée. She starts out by complimenting the fiancée, and then sends her the entire text exchange — insults and all.

"Is this recent? Today? OMFG!"

On the plus side, she seemed to take the fact that her fiancé was messaging random girls to try to ask them out, and then insulting them when they said no, pretty well. All things considered.

Unfortunately, this story doesn't seem to have a super happy ending.

Shelby updates us all with a comment she posted on the second video: "I’ve been blocked by both her and him on IG. 🤣 I bet she stays with him."

This isn't her first time receiving weird messages from random guys.

In an interview with the Daily Dot, Shelby said, "Honestly I usually mind my own business and would have just let it go as I normally do when I get creepy dudes in my inbox. But he wouldn’t take no for an answer."

In fact, plenty of women receive these kinds of messages pretty regularly.

One commenter on the original TikTok writes, "Why do they act like that😬 being 'nice' just to get something, and then being rude when they don’t get what they want?"

And even though it probably didn't end the way she wanted, many people commented to tell Shelby she did the right thing.

"If [the fiancée] doesn’t take it and use it for good, that’s on her," one user wrote.

Women just have to support other women.

I don't think there's a person alive who wouldn't want to know if their partner was cheating (or trying to). Like, is a guy who fat shames women who reject him really someone you want to marry?
