A romance lost way back in the early ’00s has been rekindled recently, with superstar couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck not only having gotten back together, but announcing their engagement as well!
The news broke on social media with Lopez showing off an impressive engagement ring, wiping away tears of joy at the promised marriage.

After rekindling their romance last year, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are now engaged!
The news was delivered via Lopez’s newsletter, On the JLo , just a few days after fans noticed what looked to be an engagement ring in her recent photos.
The email included a clip of her admiring the ring that features a large, green diamond while wiping away tears.
Fans of either of the two likely know this isn’t their first time engaged.
Their romance began in 2002 after they met on the set of Gigli . They began dating soon after, then were engaged in 2003 only to break up in early 2004.
The two remarried and had kids with others, then both of those couples split, and it’s believed that Lopez and Affleck got back together in May of 2021.
The two believe their relationship is different now.
As Lopez told PEOPLE, “We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things.”
She seems grateful for the chance to try again with Affleck.
“It’s a beautiful outcome that this has happened in this way at this time in our lives where we can really appreciate and celebrate each other and respect each other,” she said, “We always did, but we have even more of an appreciation because we know that life can take you in different directions.”
