No birthday party would be complete without a heavy helping of friends, family, and... your ex-wife? It might sound like a nightmare to most, but for the Willis/Moore clan — such gatherings have become status quo.
This past Saturday, March 19th, former Brat Pack member, Demi Moore, paid a special birthday tribute to Bruce by posting a heartfelt message of congratulations. In it, she made sure to mention just how truly thankful she is for their "blended family."
Among the many congratulatory birthday notes and posts Bruce received, arguably none was more appreciated than the one that came courtesy of his ex-wife, Demi Moore.
Bruce and Demi were married for 13 years before eventually parting ways in the year 2000. Together, the couple shares three children; daughters Rumor, Tallulah, and Scout.
The former St. Elmo's Fire star captioned the photo, "Happy birthday, Bruce! Thankful for our blended family 🤍."
For those folks who don't fancy themselves mycophiles, a "True Morel" is a type of wild mushroom.
Many would find it strange — being on such good terms with an ex. But they don't have time to let drama interfere with their life.
Say what you will about Bruce and Demi as a couple, but there's no denying it. They are the BLUEPRINT when it comes to coparenting.
For instance, rather than be separated from one another during the early days of the pandemic — Bruce and Demi were quarantined together.
While speaking with Naomi Campbell on the YouTube show, No Filter with Naomi, Demi explained how the pandemic brought them all closer together.
"It worked out that Bruce came and spent time with us and then his current wife and their small daughters joined a little bit later when the kids were finished with school," Demi explained.
"Our family, regardless of what the shape of it is, it's important to keep together.
"It was really sweet and we did have some silly times, for sure," Demi recalled.
Bruce and Demi might not have had the perfect marriage, but not a soul can deny that these two have absolutely perfected the fine art of co-parenting.
"Blended family goals! Adore you both. Blessings," one fan wrote.
"Yours was the model for my blended family! And it works! Everyone is happy. 🥰," added another.
It just goes to show that when two people are willing to lay down their swords for the greater good, marvelous things can happen.
May their strenuous efforts as co-parents these past 20-plus years serve as inspiration for all others who are currently going through the motions.
