In case you've been living under a rock, please allow me to fill you in on the most popular series out right now — Pam and Tommy. The mini-series follows the tumultuous marriage of model and actress Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.

Of course, the miniseries covers the pair's sex tape that was stolen from their home in 1996.

Now, Pam is ready to tell her side of the story in a new Netflix documentary.

In 2022, the idea of stealing a woman's sex tape and distributing it sounds like one of the most vile and disgusting things a human could do.

However, when it happened to Pamela Anderson in 1996, many people didn't feel that way.

It's no surprise that women in the '90s and 2000s were treated like zoo animals by the media.

Now, these women are reclaiming their narratives and exposing how truly devastating the media's impact was on them.

Think of Paris Hilton's This is Paris or Britney's recent $15 million book deal.

Now, Pamela is joining this movement by releasing her own documentary with Netflix.

The doc has been dubbed the “definitive documentary about the pop culture icon,” and has apparently been in the works for years now, as per Variety.

Pam announced the news on social media with a handwritten note on Netflix letterhead.

It reads: “My life/ A thousand imperfections/ A million misperceptions/ Wicked, wild and lost/ Nothing to live up to /I can only surprise you /Not a victim, but a survivor /And alive to tell the real story.”

This is a big deal for Pamela, who reportedly did not give consent for the "Pam and Tommy" series.

In January, a source told Entertainment Tonight that “The upcoming Pam & Tommy Hulu series has been very painful for Pamela Anderson and for anyone that loves her. It is shocking that this series is allowed to happen without her approval.”

We hope this documentary gives Pamela some peace.
